PORTFOLIO REVIEW

These portfolio reviews are provided in partnership with the Urban Photographers’ Association (UPA) and the international Photography Summer School (iUPSS), and offer participants the opportunity to receive feedback from an experienced photographic artists and tutors working around contemporary urban space. There is a maximum of 8 places available on this review.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS

PAUL HALLIDAY

Paul is a photographer, film-maker and urbanist based at Goldsmiths University London where he convenes the MA Photography and Urban Cultures. He is a the creative director of UrbanPhotoFest and member of UPA, the Urban Photographers’ Association (www.urbanphotographers.org)

BEATRIZ VELIZ ARGUETA

Beatriz is a social scientist and photographer based at Humboldt University and Visiting Scholar at Goldsmiths, University of London, where she co-founded the international Urban Photography Summer School. She is Education Advisor to UPA, the Urban Photographers’ Association (www.urbanphotographers.org)

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

You will need to bring an edited printed portfolio of urban images focusing on objects and materialities. All selected participants need to be able to communicate in English.

In order to book a place you need to submit 5 photographs, with a short project description, by Wednesday 27th to the following email: lisbonmemorysymposium2016@gmail.com. Participation will be confirmed shortly after with precise time and location for your appointment.
